Quartz grew up in a desert colony. She has loved music from an early age, and learned to play as many different instruments as he could get their metaphorical hands on. 

Quartz’s dads argued often ever since they were young, and one day he came back from school to find that her papa had moved away to another colony. During his year after they become an adult, Quartz travelled to nearby colonies to try and find her papa, but ended up being unsuccessful. However, in her travels he found other wirms that enjoyed music just as much as they did, and two of those wirms, Sage and Addax, eventually became Quartz’s romantic partners and spouses.

Quartz loves the rain, and they often find himself composing songs to the beat of the rain on the rare occasions it falls.

Quartz has thought for a while that humans getting to basically rule the world is extremely unfair, and she thinks that wirms have just as much of a right to the Earth as humans. They could never figure out how to take back the freedom of wirms without excessive violence however, which prevented him from being able to really do anything about the situation. He was overjoyed when they were approached about the opportunity to be able to talk to and connect with humans, and she hopes that they can help change the world for the better.
